NEW FEATURES OF VIGILANT DOS VERSION 8.3
Accounts Receivables
- The ability to post finance charges for selected customers. Users
can also print a report showing the Proposed Finance Charges
without posting them.
- High level users see two new statistics in the Customer Screen
Display program. Customer's average days to pay and customer's
highest balance within the last 2 years.
- Customer Memo report that can selectively print customer F11
information.
With the release of v8.3, comes a new module entitled: EFT BATCH
PROCESSING. This new add-on will take all customer balances with F11
information to authorized payments. It is able to work in conjunction
with the credit card authorization module, as well as without. It can
also create files containing pre-authorized payments from your customers
that can be submitted to banks in the Canadian Payments Association.
Customer balances can be shown by credit card or by bank on the
authorized transactions report.
Advanced Sales Analysis
- Adjustments to inventory

Point of Sale
- When printing XZ report for date range, will print day of week
distribution report showing sales Monday, Tuesday, etc.
- Lever 9 users have the options of printing margins by product line
when printing XZ report. This report shows by product line, the
percentage of total sales it represents, its margin and margin
percentage.
- The option to print a separate receipt or invoice for each credit
card used.
Sales Orders and Invoicing
- Security features similar to Point of Sales. If a user with a low
password attempts to create an order for a customer exceeding their
credit limit, a manager override is required.
Inventory Management
- A new report: Product sales by month in units or dollars.
- Auxiliary product codes up to 25 digits in length or where you can
expand your Bar codes against the same product codes but from
different suppliers.
- Product lines expanded to 300.
Purchase Orders
- The ability to print multiple Purchase Orders
Barcoding
- The ability to print 1.2 (0.85 inch) labels and 2.2 (0.5 inch
Butterfly) labels with the Elton TLP2642 printer.
